Important for us – as a starting point – was to look at the live-performance of the 9×13 ensemble and the way they dress. Characteristic are the colorful outfits with all the fine details like the aiguillettes and epaulettes. We translated the 9×13 in Roman numerals (IX x XIII) and turned them 90° degrees clockwise. Therefore creating the reference to the classical fanfare jacket.
The result is a playful logo that can be used in minimalistic black & white as well as in the bright colors of 9×13. As a start the new identity is used for their merchandise, animations and on the big drum!
